A superb white from Galicia’s smallest DO (Denominacion de Origen), Monterrei, located in North West Spain. Made using indigenous yeasts, without oak, and left to age on its lees, this is a wonderful fruit-driven expression of artisinally-crafted Godello/Treixadura.

Lovely crunchy unripe apples on the nose. Bit of sea spray. But nothing overwhelming. This comes alive in the mouth. Multi faceted. An electric shock to the tongue gives way to that acidic real apple. Lingers forever and wants to be savoured alone or paired with heavy cheese after a bit!
