Red Wine
Château Lynch-Bages, 2017
€199.00
Deep and energetic, this opens with crushed black cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry preserves and mulberry, layered with lavender, dark chocolate and star anise. Full-bodied and supple with firm, finely grained tannins and seamless freshness through a long, fragrant finish. Classified as a Fifth Growth but widely regarded as a Super Second, Lynch-Bages has been the benchmark for overperformance since Jean-Michel Cazes transformed the estate in the 1970s. The name traces back to Thomas Lynch, an Irish emigrant from Galway who arrived in Bordeaux in 1691.
