Opens with blackberry and refined roasted coffee, then reveals graphite, cocoa and candied violets as it breathes. Medium to full-bodied with muscular dark fruit, chiselled tannins and a long, mineral finish that's slightly chalky in the best way. The blend includes 60% Cabernet Sauvignon alongside four other varieties — Clerc Milon is one of the rare classified estates still using old-vine Carménère. Owned by the Rothschild family since 1970, it sits between Mouton and Lafite on some of Pauillac's most prized terroir.
