Dark garnet with orange highlights — intense and graceful on the nose, with peach peel, cinnamon, violets and pomegranate. Full-bodied with zesty acidity and velvety tannins, warm and round with pronounced jammy fruit and a dusty, rustic finish. This is Sforzato — Nebbiolo grapes dried until mid-January before pressing, concentrating everything. Sourced from the Sassella and Grumello sub-zones of Valtellina, where Mamete Prevostini's family have been making wine since the 1920s.
