Chateau Hauterive Le Haut, Sainte Marie, Blanc
Out of stock
Chateau Hauterive Le Haut, a vast estate spread over several terroirs, was an outbuilding of the Abbey of Fontfroide. The vineyard has been in the family of Jean-Marc Reulet for forty years. Grenache blanc, Maccabeu and Roussanne, planted on sandstone and rolled pebble soils, produced this bright, straw-coloured wine with a nose of acacia and very ripe fruit. A rather rich and full attack gives way to an impression of liveliness on the palate. A paradoxical wine, with a pleasant balance. Wine with a golden colour and green hues. Nose of peach blossoms or apricot, slightly aniseed, ample mouth recalls the nose, with notes of dried fruits after a few months in bottles.
