Vignerons Ardechois, Pinot Noir

15.50

Best value Old World Pinot Noir from the Ardeche in Southern France. Slightly more full-bodied than its Burgundy counterparts, it retains all those wonderful pinot traits of spicy, peppery red fruits with great complexity and balance. The vineyard is situated on the southeast side of the southern half of Ardeche within the district of Alba La Romaine and Villeneuve de Berg. It is planted on hillsides or gentle slopes made up of chalky-clayey soils. The climate is typically Mediterranean.

Tasting Note
Rich array of aromas including blackcurrant buds, red berries and vanilla. This is a supple and round wine, with firm but melted tannins. Well-balanced and slightly oaky.

Serving Suggestions
The wine goes well with charcuterie, cold or country buffets, but also with certain meat dishes, such as orange duck or turkey with chestnuts, and cheese.
