The Adelaide Hills was long considered as too cool to reach the ideal ripeness for Shiraz. By the early 2000’s the potential for outstanding Shiraz from the right sites in the Adelaide Hills was compelling, and the first Shaw + Smith Shiraz was made in 2002. Since then, Shiraz in the hills has become stronger and stronger and built a fantastic reputation for itself. Fragrant, intense with medium bodied elegance. Complexity of vibrant red and dark berries with gentle spices.
