The vineyard Herrenholz is situated in a warm caldera and belongs to Vienna. Here on the sandy lime soil of the Bisamberg the grapes enjoy ideal conditions. Warm and a lot of minerality from the grounds make the Pinot Noir fine and elegant – seldom in this region. Typical orange-red; pinewood and fresh forest soil in the nose, fresh strawberry and herbal roasty aromas; on the palate lively and fresh, nuances of red berries and orange, complex and richly structured, silky, elegant, almost swaying, very open but puristic. Wonderful with veal dishes, but also to enjoy alone.
