Mouchao, Dom Rafael
€21.50
Herdade do Mouchao Dom Rafael Tinto was first released in 1990 as the second wine of the estate and named after one of the founders of the Herdade do Mouchão 100 years previously. It is a blend of Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira and Aragonez, vinified in Lagares in the traditional way and aged in large wooden vats with a proportion in barrels for 12 months and released after a further 6 months in bottle.
Dark ruby, large nose with smells of dark jam, dark chocolate, cinnamon, cedar. Little tannins, medium-large bodied wine, good acidity, long finish.
