A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, split equally, with 2% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
The wines are aged in French oak: 20% new. Ripe, complex fruit character with a fleshy palate and integrated oak spice.
Nose mushroom, coffee. It rises up with the lapse of time. Palate molasses, chocolate, medicine, intensity. Dried leaves nuance was a perfect match with dried herb (herbes de Provence). Lean body with freshness and fruitiness. The importer says cherry pie. Interesting! Soft tannins naturally integrated. The texture is not velvety but chewy and masticable. Aftertaste is not long but flowing and nicely acid. Chill it a bit and the whole shape will be in a good balance.
