As rough, rocky and rustic as the volcanic countryside it originates from. Deep purple colour, aromas of wet slate and blueberry. An unusual Syrah – there are fragrances of Cheetos – yes, really – smooth in the mouth with berry fruits and blue raspberry slushy – soft & mellow tannins bringing home a nicely honed finish. Not for keeping, probably as good as it’s going to get! Raspy tannins, medium acidity.
