Peter Lehmann, Botrytis Semillon

15.95

With the Barossa’s warm lingering summers, it is a natural home for Botrytis cinerea. The dessert wine is abundant in tropical fruit, apricot and melon, balanced by a fine acid line. The Masters wines are named in honour of a person or event that has played an intrinsic role in the Peter Lehmann story, and released with bottle age to capture the wines’ full potential. With the Barossa’s warm lingering summers, it is a natural home for Botrytis cinerea, used to masterfully craft this wine and show diversity of Semillon.
Delicious (good) sweet wine, with a pale lemon colour lacking in finish and complexity. The nose is medium (+) in intensity, with scents of honey, apricot, lemon, vanilla & oak. It’s a sweet wine, with high acidity and a medium body. In addition to the nose I’m getting mango and oak taste notes. Medium finish.
