The cuvée Vielles Vignes from the Labranche-Laffont estate comes from old vines dating back more than 50 years, planted before the Phylloxera crisis. These plots are exposed to the south-west on clay-limestone soils. This wine is aged 12 months in barrels and 12 months in vats before bottling. The vintage Vieilles Vignes has an intense nose on black fruits with roasted and spicy notes. The palate is fleshy and dense. The whole is powerful, long and generous with tannins still present. We find in the final black fruits and spices. This vintage from the Labranche Laffont estate is to be kept for a minimum of ten years on powerful dishes or mature cheeses.
