Domaine Girard, Tradition

The Girard estate, located in the municipality of Alaigne in the heart of the Malepère appellation, benefits from the altitude, a Mediterranean micro-climate with oceanic influence and splendid exhibitions that allow it to produce very characteristic wines. Winemakers for 4 generations, the Domaine Girard, which today comprises nearly 30 hectares, has always favored the spirit of terroir and quality. The vines are grown in sustainable viticulture.

Parcel “Walnut Field”, about twenty years old, exposed on a slope facing SOUTH-EAST at 350 m altitude. The grape varieties are Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Out of respect for the environment, vines are cultivated in Viticulture Reasoned. The field has been able to adopt techniques to limit yields and to improve the quality of its production. Harvesting is done manually at the optimum of maturity, transport is carried out in crates so as to limit crushing.

Born from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a long maturation on an altitude terroir. A deep dress and a complex nose of red fruits accompanied by menthol notes, compose an intense approach and full of charm. The mouth is both powerful and silky, with tannins.

Cabernet Franc, Merlot
