Chateau Laurence Rouge

21.95

Son of a wine worker, technical director at Château la Fleur de Boüard (Hubert de Boüard, Lalande-de-Pomerol) and consultant with this same Hubert de Boüard to around sixty castles in Bordeaux and abroad, Philippe in 2005 bought a micro cru in the Montagne-Saint-Émilion region, the Clos Bertineau, then, in 2012, the Château Laurence in Entre-Deux-Mers: 6.6 ha of Merlot on clay and limestone. A good clay-limestone soil, ripe Merlot and an oenologist producer: so many assets for this 2012 which was unanimous. A “black wine”, coloured to perfection. On the nose, blackberry, elderberry, red fruit harmoniously married to a delicate woody and well balanced with nuances of liquorice, vanilla, roasting and cedar. Round on the attack, the palate imposes itself by its fruit and by its powerful and tannic matter which supports the aging. A bottle full of promise.
